Music Teachers for Schools
Stretto Music delivers exceptional quality music teaching for EYFS, KS1 & KS2 in schools across London, Kent and the South East.
Music has a strong positive impact on the lives of children and makes them feel confident. Music instruction is documented to accelerate brain development in children, particularly in the areas of the brain responsible for processing sound, language development, speech perception and reading skills. It’s important to have music as part of your school’s curriculum, as the year of virus lockdowns has been tough on children.
We deliver whole-class music teaching, taught by a specialist musician using the school resources and instruments. In classes, we perform live music to the children, engaging them in our kinaesthetic learning style. Our learning takes place by the students carrying out physical musical activities which develop their fine motor skills, aural and rhythm memory skills, visual memory skills, cognitive and social skills.
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”
During curriculum implementation, we evaluate and evidence the impact and progression for your school. Stretto Music teaching develops and exceeds Ofsted requirements.

Testimonials:
This is our second year with Stretto Music. The team have delivered regular music sessions to the children in our nursery and reception classes. Not only does the session engage and excite the children but it also acts as a form of professional development for our teaching staff. We have all learnt new songs and ways to teach music and while it has given the children the opportunity to experiment and listen to a wide range of instruments; it has also given our staff greater confidence in their own delivery of music within the classroom. We particularly like being able to have some input into the theme of the sessions so that they enhance our topic based learning. The children and staff all thoroughly enjoy the sessions and they have had a huge impact on the way music is taught in our setting.
